Take a Stand

Please support our partner, United Way for Southeastern Michigan, in fighting the repeal of the Affordable Care Act. We need improvements to healthcare coverage, not a repeal!

One of the goals of the Detroit Jobs Alliance is to connect residents to their elected officials, and to help people understand how government policies affect their lives. The government is a critical part of the system that helps jobseekers find employment and supports Detroit residents who need help.

Another goal of the DJA is to advocate on behalf of Detroit residents. The DJA has identified issues that are important for jobseekers to be aware of, because these issues impact how residents access help from their government and community, and even if help is available! The main priority of the DJA is to tell people about existing campaigns, such as advocating for returning citizens by asking employers to “ban the box”. We hope that you will get involved in supporting your local community!
